Dye-Sublimation

Dye Sublimation printing is a process where full colour images, text and other graphics can be permanently transferred onto a surface. The process uses a specialised ‘dye sublimation’ ink, which when heated changes from being a solid dye to being a gas. When this gas encounters polymer fibres as it moves, it will penetrate those fibres, permanently dyeing them. This process will only work on polyester fabrics or polyester blends. This process is perfect for printing one off unique t shirts, sports wear, and polyester accessories. This process also allows us to print onto flat fabric material which can then be used as artwork or cut and sewn for fashion items such as bikinis.

HOW IT IS DONE

Step 1

You send us your artwork you need sublimated and we create a mock up of how you want it printed on the garment for you to approve before we go into production.

Step 2

We use our cmyk printer to print the required number of sheets to be sublimated.

Step 3

We use a heatpress at 200 degrees c and press the printed paper into the required garments for 1 minute. We remove the paper revealing the permanent full colour vibrant print on the garment.

Step 4

We fold and box up the dye sublimated garments ready to be collected or delivered.
